No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

Ah yes! I own it on dvd. It is not at all the sort of movie I would usually watch (I don't really like that type of crass over-the-top American humour), but OMG, MR was mesmerising! His hips! His pouting! The way he really really through himself into the role and was complared to completely embarrass himself to produce a genius performance! *loves*

Yay! Someone else who sees why, even though SB isn't a good movie by any means, it's still worth having because MR was *great* in it. He really, really was. Adina was a different person from Adam, and I believed that Adam was a *changed* person at the end of the movie. MR was really better than the movie, but since the movie's where he is, you kind of have to have the movie to have the awesomeness of his performance.

And I'm sorry, but *no way* was Adina the *Ugly One*.

Yeah, no WAY! He was the only one who really convinced as having an interesting/challenging/genuine experience of exploring his gender identity in the movie. And yes, Adam was a changed man at the end of the movie--and he totally steals the movie. So much so that when it flashes back to the romance A-plot, I was jarred.

Dude, I own that, too. Because it has MR in it, and Adina, and just, is actually funny and somehow good despite being so dumb. I also own Sweet November, which is really dumb, except for a tiny bit at the end, and, you know, MR!
