The whole Declan thing is amazingly, amazingly gay. I mean, falling to pieces over a secret he has to keep? Feeling betrayed because Kyle offered him a certain intimacy and has now retracted it? SO gay it's practically text. (As is Kyle telling/not telling the mom). I know that Smallville didn't *invent* the whole "hiding superpowers=staying in the closet" theme, but it certainly has done a lot to perpetuate it, so I'm very much getting the SV vibe off this show.
