3. Stupid Irish bad guys. Because yeah, when I find a naked guy chained up in a cargo container, the FIRST thing I think is "he totally stole my ipods."
That bugged the ever-living shit out of me, too -- really, guys, there's not an Apple store somewhere that you can just walk into with some guns? really? -- but then I remembered the words of that grand law enforcement poet of our time, Homicide's Meldrick Lewis: Crime? Makes you stupid. And then, when the reveal came at the end that Irish McShanty (tm someone cleverer than me) knew Peter's name and had all that information about him, it occurred to that the iPod business was possibly just a pretense to see if Peter really remembered anything. Sure, it's a very convoluted way of going about it, as torture is allegedly an unreliable means of extracting information, but then again, they are criminals and see my reference to Meldrick's words of wisdom above.
Also? Stupid Peter. You have powers, you don't have to be manipulated by the promise of learning your identity. You could just, I don't know, TAKE THE BOX from him.
I KNOW! I suppose the argument's being made that even without the memory of who he is, the essence of Peter is still there, meaning his impulses to fairness are still there. *rolls eyes*
Also having a conversation about her superpowers in a public place.
Word. This drives me crazy when Clark and Chloe do it over on SV and it drives me crazy here. *Especially* when Claire and Noah talk about her powers publicly within the context of a conversation about her need to hide.
Also, Mr. Muggles knows where flying stalker-boy is--he's clearly the smartest member of that family.
That was so awesome. If Mr. Muggles could talk, he totally would have been all, "Look up, Claire! That creepy boy is flying!" Mr. Muggles, FTW!
