600th post!
I was trying to think of something interesting to post for my 600th post, and stumbled across this hilarious Nip/Tuck promo with Misha Collins. Probably NSFW. (Now we get to see if Nora can successfully embed video for the first time ever):
There are a couple rec sets I want to do while I am on vacation, though that sort of depends on how often I get kidnapped by relatives and forced to be social. Today is my dad's 64th birthday (we are planning on playing "When I'm 64" before we bring out the cake) so it probably won't be tonight. Maybe actually Christmas day, since it looks like we won't be exchanging gifts until Sunday since my brother and sister-in-law both have to work Christmas and my sister isn't getting into town until late Saturday night.
In other news, I had an extremely fun dream.
It was one of those serial dreams where the scene keeps changing but they feel connected. They were kind of connected, though. I was a time traveller, and had to prevent a magical object from being stolen by people from the future or else all of civilization would collapse. At first I was watching the action (the time-traveller) from the outside, when she landed somewhere in the wrong clothes and was taken under the wing of another time-traveller and given period-appropriate clothes, and then suddenly I was the time-traveller, racing around trying to find the McGuffin and having it stolen by various other time-travelling thieves. (I suspect this dream was inspired by Leverage). Just after we realized the McGuffin was lost forever and the future could not be saved, someone from the even further-distant future arrived and said it was a good thing because actually the McGuffin was the thing that destroyed civilization.
And then I found it again. It was a football. (I blame this on the Bear's game last night). And somehow I saved the future, and thought I was being sent back to my own time, only to get transported to another time period, with another McGuffin to save. Yes, it's true: I dreamed I was in a sci-fi TV pilot, setting up a serialized show! I am very amused. I had a love interest, an archenemy, and everything. I was Hiro crossed with Sarah Connor, or something like that, and my love interest was one of those tricksy characters who you can't quite tell is good or evil--he was supposedly my mentor among time-travelling heroes, but he might have been working for the opposition. My nemeses were two women who I think were a couple, and who kept trying to persuade me to trust them rather than the love interest. I kind of like my subconscious today!
