I just read some of it again -- it's been a while -- and the author uses words that now, I'd run screaming from (eg. member), but I think they work in the first scene, since it's supposed to be technical rather than sexual.

I'm a sucker for long stories and a whole lot of angst, plus, forced to have sex! just makes me swoon. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
