Sorry to be spammity tonight
but I really hate posting on 2 TV shows in one entry--too much spoiler potential in the comments for people avoiding spoilers. And while I rarely comment on Grey's Anatomy, I had to tonight because Miranda Bailey is MADE OF AWESOME.
OMG, you would think by now I would be immune from the angst-fest that is Grey's whenever it comes to guest stars, because they always die, and yet....little kids dying of awful terminal illnesses while Miranda rocks them in her arms and begs their dads to give up the futile attempt to save their life and just be with them at the end? I AM NOT MADE OF STONE, GREY'S WRITERS!! So is it really necessary to make me cry for 10 straight minutes while I'm typing my Smallville review?
In addition to Bailey's awesomeness, I also really enjoyed Mark and Derek getting over their stupid fight; Lexie being as adorable as always even when she was miserable about them fighting; and, strangely enough, Izzie being all manipulative with her cancer. Hee! Poor Meredith should just give up any thoughts about controlling her own wedding.
Also, even though she barely had any screentime, that one long look Cristina gave to Owen just about broke me. Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson are what have kept me watching this show even when I hated 90% of the plotlines; Oh, in particular, can convey so much wordlessly it just about kills me.
On the other hand, Callie's storyline was just really really annoying. I actually had to mute the sound for all the scenes of her dad, it made me so mad.
And now I'm going to watch SPN and probably post yet again!
