GIP and a few "Supernatural" thoughts
This was the first time I watched Supernatural in real time for months--I've been taping it, and I don't usually end up actually watching the tapes. It is tempting when it is on right after SV, though. And all you SPN and WB:RPS folks have, in fact, convinced me that Jensen Ackles is teh hot (hence the new icon).
I was actually surprised by how much I liked this episode.
I heard someone compare this episode to the X-files episode "Jose Chung's From Outer Space," which I think is a good comparison (and Jose Chung's from Outer Space happens to be my favorite X-files episode of all time). I loved the ghostbusters, and the Buffy quotes, and the pranks--it was a hilarious episode, all in all. I also loved the whole concept of the tulpa, and how that kind of gives an explanation for a lot of the urban legends they investigate. If people believe it, it may manifest. That's pretty damn creepy, actually.
I wouldn't say I'm falling for this show, but I definitely will be watching it after SV every week.
