A few thoughts on The Good Wife
Spoilers for last night's episode. Nothing very deep.
1. Michael J. Fox's character is an awesome antagonist, and I was glad to see him back. I was even gladder that he turned out NOT to have had a change of heart, because I like him better as a bad guy.
2. On the other hand, I was touched that Kalinda might take his transformation seriously (just because she has a moment of wanting to believe people can change?). She's so worldly that it's nice sometimes to see her believe in someone. Yet at the same time I was happy Alicia saw through him, while at the same time demonstrating she still has some idealism, since she really wanted to help those women.
3. Peter going after the youth vote was HILARIOUS.
4. I am continuing to love Will and Diane conspiring against Derrick--especially since the keylogging shows he is definitely up to shady things--though I am starting to wonder at Derrick's motivations. He can clearly bring in big clients on his own, so why the hell did he bother joining Lockhart/Gardner just to sabotage it? Why not start his own firm? I'm very puzzled. Is it actually going to turn out to be some sort of revenge thing?
5. I am, to say the least, surprised that Alicia let Peter back into bed when she still hasn't resolved things with Will. I'm quite sure that this show is not going to let the course of their love run smooth, and I'm not 100% a Will/Alicia shipper (really I think I like Alicia best on her own), but those scenes from next week do look interesting.
