Good Wife Finale
YAY! The Good Wife got renewed! I didn't really think it would be axed, but you can never tell with networks. I'm not sure what I think about Sunday nights, but I'm just happy it's sticking around.
1. I don't usually get too invested in their case files, but I liked the structure of this one a lot. And the mystery of the bloody glove (shades of OJ Simpson?) was kind of fun.
2. Kalinda and Alicia had to work together! YAY! They weren't quite firing on all cylinders, but as long as they keep working together I have hopes they'll be able to mend their friendship.
3. I do love the fact that the experience with Alicia has made Kalinda more thoughtful about who she hooks up with. (And yay for an actual kiss).
4. I wish she wasn't giving Cary the cold shoulder, though, because I love their relationship, even if they just stay friends (or friendly antagonists, however you would characterize that relationship).
5. I love that we got to see Alicia's brother again--I hope he'll be around more next season since Alicia does need help with the kids (especially if a custody battle is looming. Otherwise, really, I think those kids are old enough to be on their own).
6. I've never really been onboard the Alicia/Will train, but I do have to admit that whole scene in the bar--and especially the elevator--was moving and absolutely beautifully shot. It might be interesting to let their romance play out again and then, perhaps, fizzle--because as Alicia pointed out in that infamous phone call from the end of last season, she needs a plan.
7. I am very interested that Peter sent the glove--is he trying to get back in her good graces, or was it just a political move?
8. I am COMPLETELY EXCITED that Eli is going to be at Lockhart Gardner and that Alicia's going to be his liaison. Their interactions are some of my favorite on the show, and I'm dying to know how Eli is going to deal with the Peter-Alicia breakup.
