Supergirl
Who else is watching? I'm really enjoying it, even though some of the plots so far have been a little clunky, for the sister-bonding aspect and because Melissa Benoist is just perfectly cast--I find her completely charming and believable and a total ball of sunshine to watch.
Some bits of the plot were a little clunky--I'm not sure why she had to have a total tantrum when Alex showed her that her strength isn't always going to solve her problems--but in general I *LOVE* the teamwork aspect of the show, and that she is not completely defined by keeping secrets from everybody (unlike EVERY SUPERHERO SHOW IN THE HISTORY OF EVER) and that that is actually thematic, and one of the good things that makes her different than Superman. So far her relationship with James and Winn is cute rather than annoying (and wow, I am SO onboard the Kara/James ship).
I also thought I would hate Cat Grant, as she is playing THAT BOSS (Miranda Priestly crossed with J Jonah Jameson?), but I loved that it was her bootstraps speech that actually knocked some sense into Kara, and I'm starting to enjoy her over-the-topness rather than being annoyed by it.
But it's definitely the family stuff I love most--especially Kara's relationship with Alex (which is wonderfully complicated) and the mindfuck that her arch enemy is her mom's twin sister. Damn. And it's great that the fact that Kara left Krypton as a teen (tween? what was she supposed to be, 12ish?) means she actually has a lot of memories of the history and culture and conflicts. [This is probably also comic canon? I don't actually know the Supergirl comic canon at all]. So far I'm definitely enjoying this show.
Oh, and I met my NaNo goal of the day, yay!
