It's funny--I used to not be able to send feedback in public. Seriously. I was terminally shy about commenting to authors when other people could read what I had to say. I sent a fair amount of feedback, but always in email, never on lj. Now, like you, it's the reverse--it seems like so much work to have to open up my email folder to comment on something that's in an archive, rather than just dropping a comment on lj.
