As part of Project countdown , we've been celebrating character love in a lot of places: Clark and Lex ; Lana and Lois and Lionel , so now it's clearly Chloe's turn.




I love the radiance Allison Mack brings to Chloe. When she smiles, she really lights up a room:












Chloe was in many ways the point of view character for us, season one, letting us investigate the weirdness that was Smallville. Here's a shot of her with the famous wall of weird:

Chloe doesn't get to turn on the sex appeal quite as much as Lana and Lois, but she has had her moments:

She really does glow--she's gorgeous. I do like her grown up, but I always loved her highschool clothes--I even started picking tops that I thought of as 'Chloe' tops!

*smiles* Well, we all back each other up pretty well for these things, I think.

I'm getting excited about Chloe again this season--I hope I'm not getting my hopes up too high--but I feel like there are some promising flickers that she might have interesting character evolution. *remains vague in case of spoilerphobes* Plus, that's a rocking promo shot!

Listening to the Thirst commentary last night I was thinking how much the writers rely on Allison's ability to narrate well. I can just imagine them sitting around trying to think how to solve the big mess that was Thirst and having the 'oh! Chloe voiceover to explain the plot!' breakthrough. They do love her, I know, and it's great that they've got someone they can rely on like that. But I also really like it when they give Chloe her own character storylines.
