I can see why you see it as rushed. I'm ok with it because she's not a perfect journalist right off the bat: she still needs to develop research skills, she's still jumping to conclusions too early in the game, but she's definitely showing the tenacity that will make her a great reporter. And I agree with you, she totally wants her opinion to be heard.
