Yeah, yeah, but allegedly (according to Millar & Gough), the whole loophole with Mortal that allowed for the Clana sex was that Clark was human. Not just mortal, but *human*1. They nicked that loophole from Superman II, so I think the audience is probably supposed to assume that when Clark and Lana slept together, it was like two humans sleeping together rather than a human and an alien.
1. I actually had a problem with Clark's intra-textual assumption that simply because he didn't have powers it somehow meant he wasn't alien any more and thus he didn't need to share that little detail with Lana. But meta-textually, Gough clarified in a couple of different interviews that they were using the SII loophole and the whole point of Clark being able to sleep with Lois in SII was that the molecule chamber rendered him *human*, not just de-powered.
