No wonder he is in denial and isn't interested in flying. I always think of flight as the superpower that would be most *fun* to have, but if my power of flight had inadvertantly caused the accident that paralyzed my wife, I'd be in denial too. And the fact that his dad died and his wife was paralyzed in the same week really makes me more sympathetic to his decision last week to hide the painting from Peter.

*nods* I mean, it's already an understandable decision to me; I can't imagine most people not doing the same. But his reluctance is definitely justified now, it's more than a good enough reason for me that Nathan's wife was so seriously injured and almost killed. Nothing puts a damper on the awesomness of Herodom like people close to the hero getting hurt, and I'm glad they started filling in some of this gravity of their circumstances because I was starting to think the show was too literal-minded and cliche. I love Peter and Ando, they with Claire make up my favorites, but with those two guys for most of the episodes they and their dialogue was too "full steam ahead!/let's spout cliche things about taking on the mantle of a hero without really understanding all it entails, the consequences, etc."

I love how clues are imbedded into the episodes, like when that cop asked Hiro what did he do with the brain, eat them? When they hinted at that it reminded me of this theory I heard that eating bone marrow and the brains of animals is supposed to heighten intelligence; so so gross that Sylar seems to be eating them. *shudder*

I wonder if the fact that Charlie had an aneurysm is going to be significant beyond the fact that she was already doomed when Hiro went back in time? If Sylar gains his powers by eating people's brains, maybe eating a defective brain will weaken him? Just a thought.

Wow. Wow. I really hope you're right about this.

I wish this episode was two hours! For the "six months before" thing and then picking up where the action left off. I seriously think I loved Peter in the last one whereas before I just liked him; it was such a relief to see him there to save Claire when everyone else couldn't catch up in time...I do wonder how the Charlie thing effects all of them now. TV.com sometimes puts up full length spoilery clips if you're as impatient as me ;)
