I was just thinking the other day that someone should write a story where the brand doesn't disappear, and it drives Lex crazy that he has this mysterious mark that he can't explain, and he starts having dreams about Clark kneeling in front of him, and, well...nature takes its course.

Oh, man. I've been toying with a story idea involving the brand, but I have no idea when I'd find the time to write it. But, seriously, Clark branded Lex! How has this not launched a thousand slash writers? :P
