It was driving me crazy not knowing what fic was going to be posted when, so 4 hours of cut-and-pasting later, here it is. I guess this will really test DW's post length, since it was 46 pages as a word document! This is the schedule from June 16 onward, since I wasn't about to do the ones already posted.

An escalating series of mishaps mean that Dean needs to work with Sam and his former friend to protect the Pastor. Feeling betrayed in more ways than one, Dean goes off on a werewolf hunt to put some distance between him and his brother. Sam follows and explains that he did sometimes wish Dean wasn't his brother because then he'd be able to reveal his feelings for him, feelings that are anything but brotherly. Dean doesn't trust that Sam's telling the truth and thinks Sam might even be using Dean's own thoughts and feelings against him. Once he disregards that theory, he thinks Sam must feel as though he'll never be able to have anyone in his life and has decided to 'settle' for Dean as some sort of consolation prize. Sam, however, reminds him of time they spent in Maine when they were younger and Dean realizes that the feelings they have for each other were there long before Sam went off to Stanford. First time sex ensues and when Sam sees Ruby a few days later, he tells her that he's done fighting demons her way. That he and Dean are going to handle Lilith together the way they have everything else in their lives.

Summary: SPN AU. My inspiration for this was "Ode to Billie Joe" by Bobby Gentry, so I tried to keep the quasi-Southern Gothic feel in the story. The exact time and place it plays out is not mentioned in the story, but Dean is about 20 and Sam 16 when it starts (ends two years later when Sam is 18). Dean is happy following in his father's footsteps, working the dayshift down at the sawmill. Sam can't wait to finish school and maybe move away from their crappy little town to a new place where they can be unknown and together openly. Sam stays over at Dean's on weekends and they've been having a sexual relationship since Sam was 14. Then a drifter passing through town happens upon them in Caleb's old cabin in the woods on a Sunday afternoon and they're forced to kill him after he tries to blackmail Dean so he can have sex with Sam. Dean has to abandon Sam to cover up the murder and the story follows Sam over the two years he has to wait to be re-united with his brother and how the family deals with Dean's loss.

Dean, predictably, is terrified that Sam's going to want to leave again, while Sam is feeling nostalgic and lets slip his closest-kept secret about those years: his short-lived relationship with an older guy in his dorm, which had been partly about rebellion, and partly about Dean-replacement. This revelation doesn't sit well with Dean, for a number of reasons, and tension between the boys rises as they work the case, and they can't leave town without confronting the real problem. This is a Wincest fic, and an AU, in that it takes place "a few years" after Sam left Stanford, but we've ignored good-sized chunks of Season 3, and virtually all of Season 4.

Sam's getting what he wanted after all, but it doesn't feel that way, especially when the baby's born and the mother takes off, leaving Dean determined to raise this child. Sam can't understand why Dean would do this for a stranger's baby and not for him, and Dean needs to make Sam understand that he's been missing taking care of Sam, that he was worried Sam wouldn't want him anymore. In the end, they've reconciled but they have a whole new road ahead of them.The sexual relationship is explicit (see rating) and the story is mostly about how they're fighting to stay together but, as usual, being faily about communicating. Plus, there's embarrassingly schmoopy Dean with a baby! scenes. And Sam pouting.

He brings the reaper souls so that she can gain a higher soul count, some experience, and she gives him a spell to get AU Dean out of hell. Only the spell, instead of pulling AU Dean of out hell, reaches into the adjoining universe and got the solitary Dean who's drifting through his life, not caring if he lives or dies. AU Sam has to make a choice. If he succeeds in getting AU Dean out of hell, the other Dean must return to his universe. AU Sam locks himself up emotionally, and does his best to ignore Dean until he can get him home. But Dean hammers his way through AU Sam's defenses, worried and angry and everything AU Sam remembers his brother being. Dean wants to stay, AU Sam can't let AU Dean rot in hell, and it's an impossible choice. This story takes place in Brooklyn, much of it at night, deserted streets, warehouses, neon, gritty bars, blood, demons, etc. It is dark, angsty, and features desperate Dean and terminator/cold Sam, tension and sex between the two of them. This Sam has powers, but no yellow eyes, just gigantic, angry, determined, manbeast Sam of second half of Mystery Spot. This Sam is not nice, and crosses some lines. He collects souls for the reaper in a glass ball using the same powers he uses to exorcises demons, and he doesn't much care where these souls come from. There are no angels to be found in this story, but you will find one snarky reaper, a demon or two, some Bobby, minimal Ruby, and lots of Sam/Dean angst.

(Chad Michael Murray is the most prevalent minor character, but it's primarily Jared and Jensen.)

Kibilisa used to be a French colony, and French is still spoken there. Jared Padalecki is a naïve young man who has come less than a month earlier to Kibilisa to work as a volunteer in an orphanage, run by the church (again, a fictional denomination) which his family attends. He is there as an act of penance to atone, in the eyes of his family and church, for his homosexuality.Kibilisa is in a state of political turmoil, and rebels attack from the north. Jared makes a decision to stay with a group of orphans abandoned by the missionary, despite his lack of knowledge of the country. Looking for sanctuary, they meet Jensen, a man Jared takes to be a mercenary.
Jensen is a troubled young man who has left the capital and is making a run north to meet up with his uncle, Jim. He is wounded, and has seen and done dreadful things to make it this far. He doesn’t want the responsibility of Jared and the children, but cannot leave them alone in lion country, either. He takes them with him, and gradually they form a bond as they travel to Jim’s farm. What they find there sends Jensen into a spiral of grief and rage, and a determination not to let anything stop him from getting the children and Jared to safety, even if it means sacrificing himself. When peace is declared months later, Jared returns to find out what happened to Jensen, as a final act of love and forgiveness. What he discovers changes everything he thought he knew – about Jensen, and about himself.

He's horrifically scarred up and down the entire left side of his body, including a few facial scars, and he spends the first few months in an unresponsive, catatonic state. However, Dean starts to come around and act like his normal self again, but he continues to remain silent. Sam at first wonders if it's just an after-effect - fear or something like that - but then he finds out that Dean made a Promise while he was in hell. He doesn't know what that Promise was, but he knows how it operates (think Orpheus and Eurydice) and he knows that Dean made it to earn something in return, though he's not sure what. Eventually he finds out that Dean actually CAN talk, he just won't, whereas Sam always assumed that Dean had Promised his voice and therefore lost the ABILITY to talk at all. Sam doesn't understand how Dean can put them through this when all he has to do is open his mouth and end it, and he tries to get Dean to reveal what he's getting for his Promise, to no avail.
