Weirdly I found out on the Untamed tag on tumblr (where I'm kind of living these days) that Destiel is now canon? Or something? People still watching SPN, could you elaborate? (I am aware of this tweet: https://twitter.com/khirnari/status/1324531574944210947).
Pretty mindless reflections on mindless TV. (Though from now on I'll probably be behind on everything, since mostly I'm watching time shifted. I still don't know when I'll get to watch all my shows!

A kickstarter I wish I could fund

Sep. 24th, 2010 10:50 pmSo I was spoiled for quite a bit of the content of tonight's episode, though I didn't know it was all going to come up tonight. And I womanfully resisted getting into shouting matches debates over certain events in places where spoilers are discussed, because I didn't want to sour myself for the new season. That turns out to be a good thing, because I TOTALLY didn't have the response I was expecting when I watched the episode. I wasn't going to write a review of last night's SPN since I'm already feeling a little over-emotional, but I really need to stay awake at least until 8 so I don't entirely mess up my sleep cycle, so I may as well. Honestly I think this episode is one of my favorites ever; definitely my favorite this season. ( Spoilers, obviously )

I checked all the usual places and couldn't find listings past February 4--does anyone know if Supernatural is going on hiatus at all during February for the Olympics? I have to do some evening meetings for work, and was hoping to know if I could safely give up any Thursdays or not. (Yes, I completely have my priorities in order.)
I've wanted to see "Legion" since I first saw the trailer back in August, so I wasn't going to let a little thing like a complete lack of any reviews (usually a VERY bad sign) stop me from seeing it Friday, but I did lower my expectations a bit. And overall, it didn't suck. I wouldn't say it was a great film, but the current metacritic score is somewhere in the 30s, whereas I would put in maybe in the high 50s myself. Extremely formulaic, yes, but good performances and entertaining enough, and interesting angelology. I highly expect other SPN fans to appreciate a lot of the plot parallels and the central role of Adrianne Palicki. In fact, I am very much hoping to see a lot of SPN/Legion fusion fic based on the film.
