It always seems superfluous for me to recommend stories either by ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
astolat or rivkat, because they're two of the most talented and amazing writers in Smallville fandom--doesn't everyone just drop everything and read their stories immediately the moment they post something? But a recommendation never hurts. And both of these stories are distinguished by fabulous, snarky Lexes (two for the price of one in astolat's story).
astolat's Looking Glass Country is pretty much the story of what happens when comicsverse Lex (to me, he reads very much like JLU Lex) switches places with Smallville's Lex. One is a brilliant, yet power-hungry scientist; the other is a future emperor. Can they survive in the other's worlds? And how does the Clark in each universe react?
rivkat's Useful Arts is a futurefic with a fabulous premise: Lex has invented a synthetic pheremone that will help Clark overcome his sexual compatibility problems with humans. And of course Clark decides to test it first on Lex. But there is also a complicated plot involving Lex's senate race, the disastrous state of the global environment, and Brainiac. So far she's posted 4 parts out of 7, but the story is complete, she's just posting serially.
