random food poll

[Poll #1166468]

This poll brought to you by my marvellous and healthy dinner of nachos and cheesefood.

I don't even know what cheese food is but I picked the funnest option!

It's, umm, the stuff marketed as Velveeta? Or also called "American cheese," though perhaps not in England? It's made to be easily melted for things like nachos and grilled cheese sandwiches. It's generally very yellow, highly processed, and does not resemble real cheese very much.

When you have to actually tell people it's food, I figure it's best to avoid eating it. And lets not forget the ever popular imitation cheese. Gads, why would people even buy it??

Depends on what kind of imitation cheese it is, I suppose--lactose intolerance, maybe?

Oh, well there's a thought. As it's made with vegetable oil, I guess it would be okay for lactose intolerance, or people actually allergic to cheese.

I did used to enjoy Cheez Whiz on celery and such, but I bought a jar last year and it was completely gross.

We never had Cheez Whiz growing up, but I have occasionally eaten it with nachos. I can understand your distaste, though--it really does bear very little resemblance to actual cheese.
