Fall TV
My TV watching, as always, is somewhat hindered by my second job, which is mostly a night job. Oh well, I guess that spares me from complete TV addiction. So I'm not going to do this night-by-night; Thursday TV is the only TV I watch live anyway.
Shows that I cannot live without and will always watch every week:
Supernatural
Smallville
Terminator: The Sarah Connor chronicles. (I got really addicted to this show during the summer, when they rebroadcast it in its entirety, and have to thank everyone who recced it to me, because it kicks almighty ass.)
Edited to add: And Battlestar Galactica, of course, when it returns.
Shows I will most likely be watching every week unless I get too annoyed by contrived plot twists:
Heroes
Gray's Anatomy (which makes my Thursday night WAY too packed, dammit. In fact, I am generally taping SPN and watching Gray's while writing my Smallville reviews, which sort of explains the decline in the analytical quality of the reviews last season. :P Just in case you were wondering).
Shows I will watch whenever I can but I don't know if I'm going to have time, and one can only tape so many shows before the backlog becomes overwhelming, dammit!
Bones
Pushing Daisies
New shows I am going to try though I'm going to have to really love them to stay with them, given the whole time-crunch thing :
The Mentalist (what can I say? The ad is kind of cool, I'm intrigued)
90210 (I never watched the original show--blasphemy, I know--but I'm a wee bit curious, so I'll at least watch the premiere. And apparently the fate of the whole CW rests on this show, or something?)
Dollhouse (I'm so glad this is a mid-season replacement; hopefully by that time I'll have ditched one of the above shows and have more watching time!)
So what are you watching? And what new shows are you excited about that I should be watching?

YAY! I'm so happy you are on board with this one. I am sitting at my desk at work tapping my feet impatiently, as I have the Season 2 opener ready to watch at home. Can't wait!
Like you, I'll be watching Smallville and BSG every week. But I'll also be watching Gossip Girl, Dexter and Friday Night Lights. Oh! And 30 Rock.
Show that may fall off the weekly-watch list under pressure from too many other shows: Pushing Daisies (*sniff* I love it but it has no suspense!), Mad Men (kinda still hate it but vaguely addicted to it... like bad-flavoured lip gloss)
Shows that I'll back-watch at some stage: Heroes, House (is there more House coming?), Ugly Betty
New shows to try: Dollhouse and anything else that gets enough reliable people on my f'list buzzing. (What is this 'Mentalist'?)

Heee. And there was me thinking it was just a lame season. ;p

Like you, I am a little sad that Pushing Daisies isn't higher on my list. It's so lovely and quirky and endearing--but it doesn't *make me* watch every week, so it's likely to fall by the wayside when things get too busy.
I'm pretty sure House is premiering very soon, though I'm very far behind on it and unlikely to catch up.
Mentalist is a crime show featuring a fake psychic (he used to have a TV show) whose attention to detail is what fools people into thinking he's psychic but helps him solve crimes. Someone described it as "non-funny Psych," which may be true, but the ads are intriguing, so I'll probably at least watch the first episode.
Oh, and once you watch Terminator, you can take my poll! Which is substituting for actual analysis, but you can pretty much tell what I thought from the poll, I think.

AWESOME! This excites me. I am still surprised that I like the show so much--it is not very 'me' in that I am squicked by serial killers and don't like cop shows, but it's really very good and goes from strength to strength.
it doesn't *make me* watch every week
This is the problem! I know I will be happy when I do watch it, but with so much other tv that I will be not only watching but posting about, I doubt I'll be able to keep up with it.
