I guess I don't really care if they're going to be so blatantly femslashy
Hee! I was surprised (and pleased) by the sudden injection of femslash. So far that's the only potentially interesting thing about Tess for me.

I had no idea he had a long enough part to be in the credits--I was only spoiled to the extent that he was in the opening episode. Hurray!
Me too! Me too! HOORAY! I cheered. And I love that they consider his defining shot to be his shirtlessness. *beams* He's such a joy to watch.

Lex's more delicate form clearly means he gets sent to the brothels
Hahahha, THAT MUST BE IT. *collapses in laughter*

it really MAKES NO FRIGGIN SENSE for her to be there.
It doesn't. And I'm sulky and annoyed about it. I think it's a BIG mistake. SV has respected the power of spatial dynamics for so long. I found this an insult to Lex's memory. I think we're supposed to be won over by her uber-loyalty to Lex, but we've seen that so many times before from his minions and it doesn't necessarily make them good minions. I don't like. *sulk*

since the whole purpose of dust covers is to prevent dust from settling on furniture, you don't generally find big clouds of dust UNDER THEM, oh Smallville set dressers. (I get it, symbolism again, but again it's DUMB symbolism.)
Yeah, it's dumb, and Smallville can do better than that. Or used to be able to. *worried*

, I am a little sad at the disbanding of Ollie's League
Oh! I kind of thought they'd be back. I mean... I thought they'd split up for a some episodes, but I expect to see them form again later in the season...

super computer skills is a much more logical meteor mutation for her than healing powers, so maybe they're going to give up the one for the other
I'm hoping that's the case, and if so I would be a bit happier with it--it would perhaps indicate that the writing team have realised that that would have been a much more sensible power for her to have had from the start. Rewatching the ep it seems... possible? I don't know.

You know, when you ended up dead?"--so if anything, I was amused that he ended up dead again.
Haha, me too! I was so amused. I'm too fond of him to really give him flak for this, though I do think it was mindbogglingly stupid (if heroic). Somewhere, Jor-El is sighing...

she might very well have managed to get Chloe out on her own, without any superheroic help?
I know! It seems like it could be a season for power women, for once. Even though I don't like Tess and am concerned as always about Chloe plot, I do like that they've potentially got three powerful female cast members.

Oh, man, just for Lois alone this season is going to TOTALLY ROCK THE HOUSE.
I agree. I think I disliked more about the set-up and episode than you, but I'm still EUPHORIC about the potential of the season.
