Ok, someone is writing Tessa/Lois slash as we speak right? Because holy hell that scene was hot!
I was kind of fascinated by the way Cassidy Freeman chose to read that line about Lois playing dress up. As written, it was probably supposed to be derisive. But she made it sound more like Tess was intrigued by the prospect that Lois likes the play dress up. The whole scene was slashy, with the way the two of them kept looking each other up and down, but that line reading in particular stood out to me.
Lois' French maid uniform, which strained my credulity for a second, but I suppose maybe Lex might hire maids in precisely that costume? Okay, maybe not, but I guess I don't really care if they're going to be so blatantly femslashy. Plus she was kind of smokin' in it.
I loved the uniform. I don't even see it as all that implausible. I mean, someone probably does regularly clean the mansion. It's not outside the realm of possibility that they do so while wearing a uniform. Probably not a uniform with a skirt that short, mind you, but I can believe they'd wear uniforms period.
3. Humina, Mountain Man Clark slinging those crates in Russia. DAMN. Just DAMN.
I KNOW. I didn't think it was possible for Tom Welling to get more handsome, but he somehow managed to do exactly that during the hiatus.
what really broke my heart was Martian Manhunter's sacrifice. Oh, J'onn. For a minute I thought how easily he saved Clark and restored his powers was lame deus ex machina, but the fact that he gave up his own powers for Clark really redeemed that for me.
Me, too and I'll tell you, if the creative team so much as even thinks about stalling Clark any time this season after making the decision to strip Martian Manhunter of his powers for Clark's sake, I. will. cut. a bitch.
By the way, excellent bit of CREEPTASTICNESS, not to mention continuity, to coerce Chloe into finding Ollie by using her mom's spinal fluid. Ew ew ew ew ew, but bravo, show, for going there. Clearly Lex's remaining minions are even more ethically challenged than he was, toward the end.
Oh, no, Regan was following Lex's lead. He said as much -- Lex was the one who had the presence of mind to harvest Moira's spinal fluid. The only reason to do that is if he suspected that it was the seat of her powers.
And yet, I do love the heroic part of him that really will risk his life to save people. Because we all know it's not his powers that make him a hero, it's his heart. Even if it does mean he gets shot in it again.
Yeah, it's easy to ding Clark for this, but if he didn't have that quality about him -- his willingness to charge in when someone's in danger even if he doesn't have powers -- then he wouldn't be capable of becoming Superman.
I did love the flashes he got of his parents and Lana when he was dying, not just because it underscore that many of the people he's loved have left him, but because it was a really nice way to remind the audience that even though those actors/characters have (mostly) left the show, they still helped shape Clark (and the show) to be what it is today.
Absolutely. And It was a nice call back to Exodus, when Jor-El told Clark that Jonathan, Martha and Lana had helped shape him up to that point in his journey.
I'm pretty sure I could hear certain fans (you know who you are) cheering at that conversation Clark had with J'onn at the end of the episode, about his need to stop holding onto the past and to move forward to his future, unguided by anyone else. YES!
Was I really that loud about it? ;-)
I also loved the way Lois is pretty much already there. ... Oh, man, just for Lois alone this season is going to TOTALLY ROCK THE HOUSE.
As the kids these days say, "Word," to your entire paragraph about Lois.
