Not very substantive reactions to Veronica Mars, "Ain't No Magic Mountain High Enough" behind the cut.

I don't think I liked this episode as much as a lot of people. There were bits of it I liked--since I'm sure we're never going to get Mac/Veronica, I'll take Mac/Beaver--they were very cute, and the revenge on Dick was *classic.* And I loved watching Keith alternate between giddy fanboy and omniscient detective. The A story line, though, didn't ping for me, even if it did allow a lot of obnoxious characters to get their comeuppance.

I was frankly pretty annoyed when Veronica started digging through Weevil's niece's backpack, and even though I was glad to see Weevil get a sort of revenge on Thumper, I was even *more* annoyed that Veronica turned out to be right in her suspicions. (I think I'm just mad at the writers, because I really don't like Weevil using his niece like that. Especially because here I was thinking how cute it was of him to take his niece to the winter carnival, dammit.)

I *did* like the way they're setting it up so Jackie and Veronica have something to bond about, though. And I love that even though Wallace was dating someone else, he was sweet enough to try to throw away all the balls for the dunk tank.

I'm still not sure what to make of the Logan/Hannah thing. I've seen some speculation that he's setting her up to make a deal with the dad, but I think it's just as likely that he's the one being played, somehow.

No deep thoughts whatsoever from me about the schoolbus arc or future plot trajectory or anything--I think I'm using all my analytical brain capacity on Smallville this month.
