Just--yes. I typed pretty much the same line about being okay with the Apocalypse, and then I saw this, and I was like, cf. [livejournal.com profile] norwich36!

I agree with you about tying up loose ends, about the satisfaction of Ruby's monologue and seeing this resolved. I think Genevieve Cortese did a good (or bad, depending on how important The Big Reveal moments are to you, I suppose), of letting her character's true intentions become more and more visible as we approached this episode--her eyes seemed to get more and more cunning and calculating, her smile more and more creepy, and by the end of the last episode I was like, YOU BETRAYING BITCH. Er. So yes.

I don't think Dean will have to kill Sam--I just do not see any way in which they could justify that, in which they could morph his character to make that acceptable to him, unless it was a joint plan between the two of them and they both went in a blaze of fire, or something. I had my doubts about Kripke's appreciation of my I Am Here For SamnDean But Only If They Are Like SamnEric, Or At Least Like SamnEric In The End, Man, feling but then he showed that he understood that, so I don't see the creators moving so completely away from it. We'll see, I suppose?

But yes. I was nervous about this like nothing, and for the first time I didn't spoil myself prior to watching, but I saw this post early today and it said "mood: relieved", and I was much with the YAY, which I also second.
