I've read a lot of really good codas to SPN 5.16 (The Dark Side of the Moon), but only now are we starting to see people take the ramifications of that episode and use it to reinterpret earlier events. So this is not precisely a coda to SPN 5.16--it's more like a prequel that helps make sense of that episode (and the entire season) in a way I really loved: etrix's Choices, Choices, Choices. A really, really interesting take on why Sam and Dean are so divided this season.
