It's like they only had so much in the budget for a good A plot and used it all up on Homecoming. Which, OK, probably worth it, but still. However, I can't dislike this episode like I did Supergirl, for the same points you list here. (Also because we dispensed with the notion that Jor-El is the least bit right about Clark. Good grief.) Although I think I like Cat a bit less than you do, if only because I find her attitude toward superheroes just that annoying. But she is cute.
And I am SO glad that we don't have to drag the whole "Clark doesn't know that Lois knows" thing out throughout the rest of the season. SO glad. Such a relief, and such a great reveal scene. I am terribly amused at Clark, though, for not realizing that Lois was hinting that she already knew at the end, there. Oh, Clark, you always think you hide/lie better than you actually do. *pets*
