OverThere!Lex Luthor isn't dead, Nora. He's running a very long game with his siblings that OverThere!Lionel wouldn't have seen coming because Clark and Tess were distracting him with their acting out. Now that OverThere!Lionel is trapped Over Here, Lex will come out of hiding and rule Over There with his little brother and sister.

I agree with serrico that the "Luthor evil is in the blood" line Clark was spouting at the beginning was out of character for him, but I'm glad he retracted it at the end.
SV wouldn't be SV if it didn't often forsake the organic entry into a premise (Tess shows Clark the box, it activates at his touch and then he's accidentally transported) for the histrionic, occasionally characterization-straining one. It's why we love it so. ;-)
I enjoyed this one if I don't think about it too much. Although every second of that last scene between our Clark and our Tess was ACES.
