Good Wife

My general thoughts about The Good Wife are well-represented by this article: Everyone on the Good Wife should just have a threesome, already --though I disagree with the specific threesome. The threesome of my heart would actually be Alicia/Kalinda/Cary, rather than any of the love triangles actually on the show, but I would find Alicia/Will more interesting if, as the article suggests, Amanda Peet's character was added to the mix.

But it's not really the love triangles I found fascinating about the latest episode.

I didn't think they would ever actually have Alicia leave Lockhart-Gardner, but I'm starting to think that is actually the end-game they're setting up after the latest episode. Alicia is starting to become visibly disillusioned with the firm's default "divide and conquer" strategy, and I actually wonder if deciding to choose Peter (her past, stability) is in fact just an anchor so she can successfully join Cary to become "the new Will and Diane." That's just the vibe I'm getting, anyway. And I'm starting to root for this, because Cary, Alicia and Kalinda are definitely my favorite characters so I'd love to see them starting something new. It would give the show some interesting new directions to take, to, if they were the ones in charge of all the decisions.

Of course, if Peter actually became governor that would throw a whole different dynamic into the mix, but I'm pretty sure they're actually not going to have him be elected, because I don't think the show is too interested in showing Alicia as first lady. Of course, the renewal of vows may not happen, and I could be wrong about the political stuff--I don't know.

I'd definitely vote for Alicia/Kalinda/Cary. They're my faves, too. Plus Eli--he cracks me up.

It's too bad the show's ratings have been slipping but I suppose it could explain why some sort of shake up may be in the works for next season. Hopefully with Alicia, Cary and Kalinda breaking away from Lockhart-Gardner.

Good question. I'll be interested in seeing your take on the season finale.
