Lionel recs: het stories

Today's Lionel recs are all het: Lionel and the ladies

Proceeding alphabetically, we start with

Lionel/Chloe

A humorous take on the pairing, in pictures: http://fandomstuff.livejournal.com/8013.html

Mistress Ace, A Dish Best Served Cold. Lionel is the master manipulator, but Chloe isn't so bad herself. Especially when she has help from Clark and Lex.

HumbugGirl, Forty Dollar Tip. Unabashed dirty smut, in a limo.

HumbugGirl, A Sort of Lolita. Lionel finds Chloe remarkably appealing.

HumbugGirl, Learned Lesson Lost. Chloe should really have known better than to ever trust Lionel. Hot, but very dark. Warning: character death.

Katze, From the Edge of Hell: Still Life in Natural Color. Chloe has a plan to get out from under Lionel's thumb--but will it succeed?

Kel, Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend. While Lionel is in prison, Chloe gets a pair of diamond earrings--but they don't mean what they usually mean.

Lionel/Lana

LastScorpion, And They All Lived Happily Ever After. In an effort to learn Clark's secrets, Lionel pursues Lana--and then surprises everyone (including himself) by falling for her. This starts out as very fun crackfic, but it quickly develops a very interesting plot, since it deals a lot with the aftermath of the Shattered/Asylum arc, and with Martha and Jonathan finding out about Clark and Lex, among other things. And as it turns out, Lana and Lionel really are made for each other.

fajrdrako, Horizontal Merger. Lana needs Lex's assistance, but finds that Lionel is willing to substitute for him.

Lionel/Martha stories

acampbell, Spring Storm. Definitely one of the best Martha/Lionel stories--really I think one of my favorite pieces of Martha characterization, period. She had a moment of weakness, working for Lionel, but she's trying to leave that all behind. Lionel doesn't want to let her do that.

Cara Chapel, Commerce. Six-year-old Lex makes Martha an offer, before Lionel comes to reclaim him. The twist at the end of this is gut-wrenching.

Fabrisse, Unwritten Diary Entry . Lionel hasn't gotten laid since he was blinded, but he still has his imagination.

Firerose, In the Dark. In the dark, he can pretend you are anyone.

Kel, Fulfillment. One of the few stories I've seen that paints this relationship in a romantic light. Also one of the porniest stories for this pairing. To be honest, I'm not sure if I buy Martha's characterization here, but I love the sex, especially the eroticization of Lionel, enough to overlook that.

Kel, It's All About the Happy . A sweet Martha/Lionel PWP. I have the same caveats for this story as for "Fulfillment."

khohen1's She's Going to Regret this. Even married women have fantasies.

Laura Shapiro, Maternal Instincts. Martha is attracted to Lionel, but she's resisting it as hard as she can.

LastScorpion, Nothing is Ever Simple . "I know how to soothe a man in a temper. That's all it was, at the beginning." Martha has desires of her own, and she's not easily outwitted by Lionel.

Lenore, No Good . Martha, reflecting on the various men in her life.

Mobiusklein, The Different Shades of Red. An AU in which Lionel married Martha Clark after Lillian's death. A very interesting look at the differences between Martha and Lillian.

Philadelphia Tuesday, Common. Lionel isn't actually present in this story, but he's very much on the minds of Martha and Clark as they have a cryptic conversation about their relationships with Luthors.

Philadelphia Tuesday, Tenebrae. She does not say: this should not have happened, this will never happen again, this is wrong. He does not say: I'm sorry, I hope this won't affect our working relationship, this was a one-time thing. Martha, surrendering to the inevitable.

Philadelphia Tuesday, Shadowboxer . Lionel, laying siege to Martha's defenses. Or maybe she is laying siege to his.

Philadelphia Tuesday, Tomorrow Comes. Lex is trying to protect Martha from Lionel's wiles, but Martha can take care of herself.

And finally, because I didn't have enough stories to give threesomes a day of their own, here are a couple

Lionel/Martha/Jonathan

Ok, I am such a complete sucker for this threesome I will read *anything* with them in it. So, although the stories below are not precisely in character--in fact, they definitely qualify as crackfic--I still reread them obsessively because I love the idea of the three of them together.

La Chatte Noire, Cum Now, All of Ye (which is a sequel to A Fyne Day at the Fair, though that story is all Clex). A fun romp, despite its somewhat cracktastic premise (Martha, Lionel and Jonathan once had an ongoing relationship on the Renaissance Faire circuit): Lionel/Jonathan/Martha and Clark/Lex, at a Renfaire.

La Chatte Noire, Demon Rising. Clark and Lex are a couple, and want to plan an extravagant Halloween party, complete with Lionel as Satan. Lionel agrees to do it if Clark can get Jonathan to be his slave for the night.

You make me smile on a day that's been otherwise...challenging.

I struggled with Spring Storm for ages (for me, whenever I include Martha in a story, she generally starts out sweet and biddable and leads me subsequently on a merry chase!); then, when it was finally finished and posted, it seemed like very few read, or at least commented. Mionel is not one of the more popular pairings, but it can work! Thanks so much for the rec!

I really love many of the other stories you mention, too.

Well, your Martha is excellent, so you should be proud of that story.

I actually think Mionel is fairly popular among people on my flist--at least I keep seeing squeeing in response to the current storyline on the show.

Mionel fic is hard to come by, but I'm always on the lookout for it.

I just have to say that I just read Spring Storm and I looove it. It's absolutely beautiful and it does nail down Martha very well. The scenes between her and Lionel were so full of tension and chemistry and reflected their dynamic so well. Thanks so much for writing it, it's wonderful.

I'm glad that there are others who enjoy Mionel and the current storyline like me :)

Thanks for your kind comments! I had so much trouble with that story, so it's rewarding to know that it worked!

And, yes, I'm really intrigued by the current storyline, and can't wait to see where they take it.

I really appreciate your reading Spring Storm and letting me know you liked it!
