Lex Appreciation week: poll + recs

So mskatej has declared it Lex appreciation week, and she's talking about hot and dirty Lex sex here, which reminded me of some recs I wanted to do, all with the theme of "hot, dirty, wrong Lex porn."

But first, a poll.

If I were really good, I would have recs for *all* these scenarios, but I'm going to leave some of them for readers to suggest in comments. But here are

Clex dirty-wrong recs

Lex and Clark are brothers but still in love: seperis's Looking Glass. I should be fired for not including this in my list of Luthor family stories , since it's pretty much the best Luthor family story ever: Jonathan reacts rather badly to discovering the alien baby, and as a consequence Martha leaves him, marries Lionel, and eventually gets revenge on Jonathan and the rest of the town for the way they treated Clark. Meanwhile, Clark gets to grow up with Lex. I love this story to death; Martha and Clark as Luthors is so, so wonderful.

Kal-El and Alexander take over the world: Well, I already recommended aelora's "Mirror, Mirror" (currently a WIP, parts one, two and three, which is her Hudsonverse version of this. I'm sure there are more stories like this that I am forgetting.

I also wanted to recommend a story that's somewhat similar in tone to "Kal-el and Alexander take over the world" stories: roxymissrose's Firebird and the Grey Wolf , which is an amazing AU set in Romanov-era Russia, in which Kirill (Clark) is found and raised by a sadistic master, and eventually given to Alexei (Lex), a Russian military officer. This is a fascinating, disturbing, twisted, and very hot exploration of what Clark and Lex's relationship might have been like if neither of them had ever encountered kindness before they discovered each other. Warning: BDSM and extreme violence.

There are a ton of good Clex slave fics--my current favorite is hrd02ca's And Desire Shall Fail which I've recced before, but not, I think, since she finished it. What's your favorite?

Non-Clex dirty-wrong recs
I was thinking of non-Clex Lex sex, lately, partly because acampbell posted a link to a story of hers I don't remember reading before: Shifting Priorities , which is Martha/Lex (and hot like a HOT thing). acampbell writes some of the best Martha characterization in SV fandom, and this is a really interesting look at Martha's desires. I'm not so sure why the fandom uniformly assumes Martha's only attitude toward Lex would be maternal, given that many of us are around Martha's age, and our feelings toward Lex are certainly not maternal!!!

Another interesting Mex story is rivkat's A Sort of Walking Miracle , which is futurefic in a big way (like a century in the future), where the Clex never happened, and Martha and Lex are still alive, thanks to meteor intervention. Martha and Lex need each other, but they still have very different perspectives on life, which eventually lead them to conflict.

And as long as I am doing rare (or dirty wrong, as the case may be) Lex pairings, here is a very hot Lex/Jonathan story: Kat Reitz and Tzigane's Wrong , which is a little outtake from their massively long Family Portrait (by the way, another Lex and Clark as brothers who shag story. In this case, Lex ends up getting raised by the Kents).

I'm not going to give a specific Lionel/Lex recommendation, since I have a whole page of Luthorcest recs here .

My favorite Lexana story, which I have recced before, is rivkat's Tertium Quid . I'm also pretty fond of mskatej's recent Untitled Lexana porn .

I would like someone to rec me some Chlex I haven't read, because I really love that pairing. I have recced this before, but it is still my favorite for this pairing: toomuchplor's Carte Blanche . Amazingly hot and angry Chlex, with some Chlexark thrown in for good measure.

Well, I love how your inspiring post is practically porn in and of itself, given how lovingly you describe what Lex is doing with all those sex workers he's hiring.

I'm noting for posterity--since I'm sure by the time I get back from my meeting the poll will have changed--that at this moment Martha/Lex is seriously ahead of all the other non-Clex pairings. I would NOT have predicted that!

Looking Glass blew me away when i first read it. take that, bo kent! (yeah, i'm the pismire who voted for lex/jonathan, but it's only because i felt duty-bound to. lex/martha kinda gives me the creeps, not sure why. oh yeah, because i don't like AO'T's looks.)

You could have checked none of the above! But you're certainly not the only person to ever find Jonathan/Lex hot, or there wouldn't be stories with that pairing.

I've read one. I don't remember who wrote it or what it was called, but it involved Pete having sex with Lex to try to distract him from Clark in order to protect Clark's secret.

Oh, how could I forget that one? That's justabi's epic Oedipus Lex (http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=justabi&keyword=Oedipus+Lex&filter=all), which has a gazillion parts, even though it hasn't been updated in a while.

The one I completely have forgotten the author and title of is one where Clark gets kidnapped by the government, and Martha has plastic surgery so she can go undercover at his facility to rescue him. She goes to Lex for help, but he only agrees to it if she sleeps with him. I wish I could remember who wrote that one, or the title.

Yay! Every week is Lex appreciation week in my world. Which is why the puny radio buttons cannot encompass my love, and I am going to spam away.

When it comes to Clex, which dirty-wrong scenario do you prefer?

Clark and Lex are brothers, but still in love: OF THE GOOD. I only have five billion pages of this in my head, that's all.

Clark is Lex's sex slave: Also of the good. Lex deserves all the best toys.

Lex is Clark's sex slave: Not my thing. Makes me angry. Though can be done well.

Kal-El and Alexander take over the world: Yay! Taking over the world is love!

Clex can never be dirty-wrong, silly!: OH SO TRUE. Well, 99% of the time. I have read one or two stories that left me creeped out.

What other Lex pairing do you think is hot (if dirty and wrong)

Lex/Lionel: I'm not entirely sure hot is the right term, but I am fascinated by it despite rather hating it. Why oh why oh why?

Lex/Martha: I haven't read any of this, and I should.

Lex/Jonathan: ...Not for me. Jonathan = ick.

Lex/Lana: I really hate Lexana. With a burning passion. Yet even so, I have seen at least one fic that made me want it. And so I say, Lexana is good if Lex and Lana are bodyswitched at the time, and in a threesome with Clark, and then it would be dirtybadwronghot.

Lex/Chloe: My two favorite characters together? Of course that's happy and hot!!!!

And yay for recs to traipse through... later. When I'm somewhere more private. I've been neglecting my SV to-read list because of the influx of SPN and *cough* RPS fic on my friendspage.

I myself love fics in which Kal enslaves Lex, for whatever reason. It's odd, because usually I don't like when Clark is being a jerk to Lex, but it's ok somehow when he's the alien overlord.

And really, as to the other pairings? I like them all, if done by the right authors. Though I was really surprised at the dominance of Lex/Martha all of yesterday--where the poll is today, with Lex/Chloe in the lead, is a lot more what I expected.

Well, if it's lighthearted and comedic, then I am all about the alien overlords. If it's brutal and angsty and dark, then I tend to get mad at Clark.

Yes, I can't believe I forgot Jason/Lex. And I'm a little surprised about the Martha/Lex, too, although the two stories I recced above, and also "Damascene," which is above in the comments, are all very good stories.
