Lana probably thinks that it's too soon. They don't know each other well enough. Clark hurt her and she wants to wait and make sure that Lex is truly the one, etc.
Lex wants Lana, but doesn't mind waiting because he has both male and female hookers on the payroll who visit him at the office and give him blow jobs or bend over his desk and take it.
Most importantly, the producers want everyone to think that Lana is a 'good' girl and in Smallville good girls don't have hot, dirty sex with evil people.

(Hah. I'm choosing to believe that maybe she and Jason never had intercourse, but did everything but, because otherwise that whole relationship seems completely unbelievable to me).

You know what, though? The way everyone on the show bends over backwards to accomodate Lana, rings their hands worrying about her, etc. (especially when they all apparently couldn't care less most of the time what happens to each other), I actually have no trouble believing that if she told either Whitney or Jason that she wanted to wait, they'd go along with that. I mean, canonically, people regularly *go out of their way* when it comes to Lana (I still can't believe Chloe running over to the mansion *in the middle of a meteor shower* just because Lana sounded a "little odd" on the phone; she knew Lana was at the mansion and really, no matter how much Chloe disliked Lex at that point, she can't *honestly* have thought Lana was *in danger* from him; yet there Chloe was, literally risking her very life because "oh, noes, Lana didn't sound 100% happy when I talked to her!").
If it were any other character, I wouldn't believe someone would move across two continents and give up their lives for that person even though they weren't having sex, but people do get just that slavishly stupid on SV when it comes to Lana. I'm not even being snarky. People move heaven and earth for her, and react to her in ways that they just don't do for everyone else.

Actually, I can think of a couple of reasons why Jason and Lana may not have had sex. Given the really incesty vibe between Genevieve and Jason, it's possible his momma screwed him up so bad that he has serious sexual hangups, and so he was drawn to Lana precisely because she was so virginal and wouldn't put any pressure on him in that direction. Or if we are to interpret the end of that plot arc as Jason being in on it with his mother the whole time, maybe he was under orders not to get too emotionally involved with Lana, so he didn't sleep with her.
But Lana's mutant power being bending people to her will is definitely another explanation!

And even though I didn't vote for that option, I think that Martha sleeping with Lionel and getting pregnant by him would actually explain her bizarre behavior toward him this season.
I do think Lois is hot, but honestly I think she and Clark have this whole brother-sister vibe going now that is going to make their eventual romance--assuming they go there in SV--seem really strange to me.

Now, I voted Hell Yes, for the Lexana, but I reserve the right to change my answer if they show us that they haven't done it yet. What I'm actually hoping for is for SV to show us their first time. If they don't then yeah, those two are at it like rabbits.

And if you take into consideration that Clark was so disappointed that is ex was kissing Lana and then another rich man was showing interest in him in the next scene, that just confirms not only his gayness, but the fact that he still wants Lex. Graham was his Lex substitute.
And let's be real, I think it was Clark that was missing out when he was sleeping with Lana. HELLO, he used to fuck Lex (or the other way around, whatever) and we KNOW that Lana didn't do even half the stuff that Lex did to and for him.

Well, that was enormously obvious, given that just like with Lex, Clark saved Graham's life and then Graham tried to give him presents, and then hook him up with a girl, etc.

What I would appreciate, though, is that you not call Lana "that dog" in my journal. Frankly that seems to be crossing the line between valid criticism of the character, as you see it, and just insulting for insult's sake.
