SV story recommendation

Ok, run, do not walk, to read [livejournal.com profile] astolat's new SV story, Reconcilable Differences . It's [livejournal.com profile] astolat! Writing more Clex! Futurefic, centered around Kon from the Teen Titansverse (in other words, the biological son of Lex and Clark, though neither had a hand in creating him in this particular story). I just stayed up until 5:30 a.m. reading it, and I was blown away by how amazing it is.

Well, I wish I could claim credit for it! I just happened to be surfing my flist one more time before heading off to bed, and suddenly it was three hours later.

I really hope [livejournal.com profile] astolat is going to keep writing SV--this is her second long fic in a month, and both of them were fantastic.

I hope so too!!! They were both brill. *squeeing a lot* I'm so grateful to her for bringing some joy to my long weekend. She'll never know how much it meant (it's so hard to explain one's joy in feedback comments!). Reconcileable differences is one of those rarest of rare fics--one I've imagined reading, but thought would never exist.

At this moment, I honestly think it is the best SV story I have ever read. And that poses a minor dilemma to me, because I was in the process of composing a LOC about the Temeraire novels that started with something like "As someone who has loved your fanfic for years, I didn't honestly think I could possibly love your writing more than I already did...blah blah blah", but now I think I love this story *more* than the Temeraire novels.

Oh, I am fickle! Or faithful to the Clex, one or the other. My head is so divided: I want her to write more Clex, but also to write more Temeraire. Definitely a quandary, but a nice one. And I now need to let my fangirlishness settle down again before I write that letter, because I want to at least be coherent!

Awww! Yep, I can see your dilemma, even though I haven't read the novels yet. Even writing my feedback comment, I was rendered bumbling and incoherent, and if you had two warring tensions inside you--that'd make it even worse! Honestly, good writing is so hard to praise!! I never find the right words.

Personally, until I read the books, I'm firmly in the camp of barracking for more Clex! *has it easy*
