Movies

Work has been completely insane for the past two weeks (and promises to continue to be so for a while, if you're wondering where I've been lately), but the weekend is almost upon us and I definitely need to go to see a movie to destress. What should I see?

[Poll #805632]

And sorry, but "Snakes on a Plane" just isn't in the running--it's really not my kind of thing.

And speaking of movies, does anyone know anything about "Wicker Man," this movie coming out with Nicholas Cage? Is it just basically a remake of the 1973 version? And if that's so, does it mean it's going to end with Cage being burned alive in a giant Wicker Man? Because *that's* a movie I could really enjoy. Why do I have to wait a whole week to see that?

I've only seen the original twice, and although it's depiction of Paganism is a little offensive, I still love it, so I'm kind of interested to see what they've done with the remake. Anyone know anything more? I don't mind being spoiled about this, since I've already seen the original.

I've been wondering the same things about the new Wicker Man. I can't imagine Ellen Burstyn replacing Lord Summerisle's character. But yeah: Cage in the final scene? I like that idea!

I didn't even realize Ellen Burstyn was in this! (Your post made me go look at what was on imdb --there is one favorable review from someone who saw a sneak preview, but that's about it.
