TV
Heroes is the first premiere I've seen this season that's lived up to the hype.
Although I am drawn into shows by the pretty (and damn, Mohinder is a PRETTY PRETTY man), I stay for the characters and the concepts, and right now I'm really really drawn into both for this show. I loved pretty much every character, though I have a special fondness for Niki (the stripper with her evil mirror twin) and Hiro (the Japanese scifi fan who can teleport). Everybody was a little two-dimensional (Mohinder's speech at the beginning was especially full of platitudes), but I put that down to pilot-itis. I love the concept so very much, and I can't wait to see where it goes.
In less squeeful news, though I have bent over backwards (including holding meetings on weekends and annoying nights) to try to avoid having an important meeting scheduled for the same time as the Smallville premiere, of course somebody had a personal crisis that absolutely necessitated moving a meeting to Thursday night at 8. Dammit! I have two friends TIVO-ing in case my VCR breaks or something, but it's not going to be the same. It means I won't even be able to read people's commentary until Friday night. ARGH!!
