Today's rec is a pair of stories by elandrialore, All the Queen's Horses and A Great Fall. Technically, these two stories are Clark/Oliver, not Clark/Lex, but Lex is the figure through whom they connect, and also, as it turns out, the one watching in the shadows. I really love Clex pieces where their desire for each other is triangulated through a third party, and this series is an excellent example of that. It also has great Ollie characterization--it was the first story I really loved him in.

However, if you're too much of a Clex purist to read Clark/Oliver, there's always the delightful In His Kiss , in which Clark seduces a stunned--but not unwilling--Lex very thoroughly.

I'm really glad you are doing these recs. I haven't been in a fic-reading mode lately, but I suspect a marathon is coming up soon. Your recs are the first things I'm going to read because I trust your judgment in these things (and it saves me a lot of search time).

Yeah, I love how completely flabbergasted Lex is in that story when Superman keeps showing up to make out with him. It's very sweet.
