Veronica Mars: Papa's cabin
Spoilers, of course.
Well, is there anyone who hadn't figured out it was the TA? It had to be, of course, since he *wasn't* the rapist and he had so clearly been set up to be creepy. I did like the reveal, though--and he was quite clever in setting up Landry. And the whole Landry plotline was classic noir: an innocent man who becomes guilty in the attempt to clear his name. Oh, Professor Landry, if only you hadn't pursued the dame, you'd be a free man today. (I'm not quite sure why the heck Mindy ran, though--did she just not want to testify against him, thinking he was actually guilty?)
My favorite part of this episode, as always, was Keith and Veronica working together. I thought perhaps him becoming Sheriff again would split up their partnership, especially since she was trying to clear Landry, but they were still working together, so YAY! And I kept expecting him to yell at her for illegally obtaining evidence, and he never did, so yay again to the writers for not going for the obvious.
The Logan/Parker stuff was interesting. I like the fact that Parker finally twigged to the fact that maybe this relationship could hurt her friendship with Veronica, and tried to talk to her about it; I also liked the Logan was the one to get permission. And Veronica seems basically ok with it, which makes me happy. (Wallace was criminally underused in this ep, though, considering he's only in a few episodes this season).
I'm sure Keith won't be sheriff for long, but I'm enjoying it while it lasts. I'm really sad that Lamb is really dead, though! I kept hoping all those interviews the actor did were just a smokescreen. DAMN. This arc has taken away three of my favorite minor characters: the Dean, Professor Landry, and Lamb. All I can say is if Cliff bites it or gets sent to prison I may have to stop watching the show! I guess the danger of mystery arcs to minor characters is a good reason to be happy that they're giving them up? It is true that this particular one didn't pay off as well as earlier ones, in part because there were fewer suspects to choose from.

Well that's a good question. It has to be that or simply that the story line wouldn't have worked if she hadn't. ;)
I had hope clear up until the end that Lamb was going to show back up and some clever plan was going to be revealed as to why they "killed" him. Guess not! Damn.
