Early fics seem to have his eyes blue like Lex's but that's I think because we were all still so bedazzled by TW's beauty that we couldn't think straight when he was on-screen (speaking for myself, of course.)

But most later fics have caught up, with either hazel or green.

Clark Kent/Superman has blue eyes, but since Tom Welling doesn't I say green or blue or hazel is fair game.

Which canon? In regular comic canon, they're supposed to be blue. In SV, it's green (although in the cover to the first season, they look VERY blue for some reason).

I made Clark's eyes blue in SV fic until it became common knowledge that TW's eyes are green.

Now they're green.

Green. Tom's eyes are green so canonically Clark has green eyes. (They're blue in comics tho)

There's been a comment on the show about his "baby blues" I think, but Tom has said in an interview that one of the things he and Clark have in common is having green eyes. Mostly they try to avoid the topic and frequently they color his eyes blue in promo pictures.

They are SO goofy. I mean, does it really matter if his eyes are green in the SV-verse? They're beautiful, regardless. *Points to icon*

I always say that Clark has green eyes. But in SV, they've had a couple characters refer to his baby blues or whatnot, and they like to retouch promos/covers etc to give him blue eyes. I think we are supposed to believe they are blue, even though they don't look that way onscreen at all.

See, I find that really dopey. I mean, sure, Superman canonically has blue eyes, but it's not really that big of a deal that TW's are green, is it?

Well, TW's eyes are hazel/green, but you asked canonically, so I understood where the comic books are concerned.

Clark and Superman from ALL the comic books (as far as I know) have blue eyes. (as well as Kon-El, Bruce Wayne, Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, etc, etc, etc...)

TW and SV has changed fanfiction because we have TW in mind when we write nowadays.

I'm firmly in the green eyes camp for TW's eyes. :D

Clark's eyes have always been traditionally blue though (otherworldly "blue eyes that put Paul Newman's to shame") but I have no problems at all with Smallville's Clark's eyes being vivid green instead.
