The final Sweet Charity Auction ends in about 16 hours, and for those of you who read SPN or J2 fic, there are a *lot* of great authors from those fandoms selling their wares their to benefit RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network). Many of them still at bids under $50! I never win these auctions, but I'm trying not to go too crazy since if I do bid on everybody I'm sure it will be the one time I win them all, and I'm not made of money (alas). I also counted at least 6 authors offering Smallville fic and many others offering Merlin, Buffy, SGA, Leverage, etc. You might be able to commission a story from your favorite author and help a great charity at the same time. The main page is here and if I did this correctly, the link to the fic auction is here.
There's a semi-anonymous love-meme going on in the garden party today. You should totally go over there and give someone a virtual flower and brighten their day.
Also, I am totally enjoying the responses in my post about TMI feedback, though I'm probably going to be unable to respond to any more comments today until after 10 p.m. Pacific Time. But feel free to have fun while I'm gone.

That's actually kind of literal--the crap on my desk is piled so high I can barely see the computer. Hi everybody! If I make it through October 26 I may become visible on LJ again. Until then, I am trying to respond to comments and collect reviews for
eat_crow, but otherwise I'm massively behind on commenting on people's entries. I think I have 30 open tabs on my home computer, which I really do hope to get to eventually. I'm quite jealous of anyone having a three-day weekend right now.
But anyway, while I'm failing to be entertaining, everybody should head over to
bop_radar's fandom garden party and hang out and have fun and meet new people.

pimping, pimping
Apr. 8th, 2007 12:34 pmThere are only a few more days to vote on the
harlequin_sv stories, so if you haven't checked out the community and read any of the fantastic stories over there, you really should!
bop_radar just posted the last in her series of essays on the seven basic plots as applied to Smallville . This whole series of essays is really interesting and worth reading, if you haven't read them before.
And
huzzlewhat has some really interesting thoughts on costuming and symbolism in Smallville as expressed in "Combat."
