A light at the end of the tunnel

The major part of my work insanity is nearing an end, and I will soon have free time again, at least on the weekends. Yay! I am so far behind on movies I want to see, and now I can't decide if I should work my way forward chronologically (lest Iron Man leave the theaters as newer blockbusters get released) or if I want to go see the new Indiana Jones movie right away. Or maybe Prince Caspian. So many decisions! It's been ages since there was more than one new movie I wanted to see, so I'm out of the habit of making hard decisions.

Like that is even a question!

And yet Indy is (at this moment) losing in the poll! I am looking forward to seeing it, but I think the theaters are going to be really crowded this weekend, so I may wait until next week.

Dude. Hard poll! But since I've seen Iron Man and I REALLY want other people to flail about it with, that's what I chose. :D

Oh, I am going to see them all--it's a long summer of hiatus!--it's just which to see first. And I'm leaning toward Iron Man just for the chance that it'll get bumped out, since I want to see it on a big screen.

Also it just occurred to me that this is a holiday weekend (yes, work has been THAT busy that it slipped my mind), and if the busses are running Monday I could maybe see two movies this weekend. \0/

I was torn between Iron Man and Prince Caspian. I don't even consider Indy because the theaters are going to be ridiculous this weekend. Perhaps an R rated movie would be okay on opening weekend, but PG-13? You'll have to deal with kids and crowds.

I think Iron Man will be around for a while. In fact, I'm going to see it tonight, as the big theater will replace it with Indy tomorrow and I want to see it on the giant screen. It's a travesty I haven't gone to see it yet, as the Uptown theater (http://cinematreasures.org/theater/70/) is across the street from my apartment—ie a 60-second walk once I exit my building's front door. 30 seconds if I hit the light properly.

I haven't seen much response about Prince so I picked it.

Yeah, someone at a dinner I went to tonight was raving about how good Caspian is. And the Indy movie will be around for a while, so I may wait until the crowds go down.

I've only seen Iron Man, so Iron Man it is!

[identity profile] norwich36.livejournal.com 2008-05-22 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I've heard universally good things about it, so I definitely want to see it.

Not from me you didn't. *enigmatically silent*

Indy! Indy! Indy!

Hee! See, look what happens when you *don't* post movie reviews!

I couldn't decide which to answer in your poll, so I'm absolutely no help. I have, however, seen two of the three and will assure you that both Prince Caspian and Iron Man are both excellent movies and well worth seeing. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about Iron Man and only a few minor quibbles with Prince Caspian and, of course, Indy is on my to-do list for opening night.

So basically, all choices are good and I should not stress. *Grins*

Absolutely.
