The Good Wife
I watched this mostly because I love Christine Baranski, though as it turns out I don't really like the character she's playing. This has the possibility of being a good drama, though; Julianna Margulies was terrific--I think this is the best role I've ever seen her in, and it has the always enjoyable Josh Charles. I also really liked the woman playing the detective for the law firm.
I'm not sure about the premise. I loved getting to see behind the facade of a woman in her situation--that's really intriguing--but I suspect other than that this is just going to become another lawyer show, and I really don't really go for real-life drama in my entertainment unless I *really* love one or more of the characters, and so far that's none of them. I did love her face-off against the new states' attorney, though, and her declaration of war. I don't know--I think I may watch this one on the rare Tuesday nights I happen to be home, but I'm not going to record it or anything.
The Forgotten
This is actually on at the same time as "The Good Wife," but I get CBS an hour early on one of my cable stations and was bored afterward, so I gave it a chance. I would have to say don't bother watching this, unless you really really love procedural crime shows. The only differences between this and every other crime show out there are (a) Christian Slater (who unfortunately didn't do much for me here); (b) the fact that the group doing the investigating are private people, not cops; and (c) a REALLY REALLY ANNOYING voiceover by the dead person. So basically I was bored.

Still, like you said, it looks like it'll mainly be a boring lawyer show. Blah.
