The Muppets

rsadelle and I had a marvellous time this afternoon watching "The Muppets." Without being spoilery, I would say that if you ever liked the Muppets at all, you will enjoy this movie. I loved it, personally. . That, despite the fact that it was basically Marysue metafic. But very GOOD Marysue metafic! It also had a couple of good new songs, three of my favorite old songs, and some absolutely HILARIOUS renditions of songs you think you know. Plus some of the cameos were perfect in ways I can't explain without spoiling.

We took Stellan to see it in NY with all his aunts and uncles and cousins. He loved it; I loved it more. Also loved the moment, during Walter's big dramatic scene of figuring out his talent, when there was a profile shot of him and Stellan shouted to the whole theater, "He has no nose!"

Hee! I actually love watching kids movies just for that kind of commentary. One of the kids sitting right in front of us kept getting up and dancing in the aisle to all the songs. He was just about 4. It was ADORABLE.
