No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

I haven't really been lurking so much as just not doing anything special, *yet*. I am, however, about to write a ton of Clex fics and things and effectively, delurking.

1. Tell us something about yourself: I'm a very optimistic person. I also live and breathe by slash, so if you're looking to friend me, you better be prepared for that. My entrance fandom in general came with Harry Potter, and the rest is history. I'm very open-minded, and if I ever offend you and you tell me (nicely), then there will be no problem and I will apologize like crazy b/c I want to please everyone. :)

2. Likes: Lex, first and foremost. Chloe, Clark. Lionel, or at least John Glover. Clex, of course, and Chlark second. I thought I would love Lexana but on the show, I think my anti-Lana kind of ruined it for me. Other shows I watch are Lost, Queer as Folk, Will & Grace, Firefly, The Office, Scrubs, and Supernatural. I am only really intensely into The Office and Smallville right now, though. Supernatural is forthcoming, probably. (I haven't seen them all yet.) I like basically every actor, and my one and only girlcrush is Allison Mack. I also love chicken, reading, and being random.

3. Dislikes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff): Lana, Clana. I used to love American Idol, but now I can't watch it cause my favorite never makes it. I pretty much gave up on all reality TV. I'm also not a big Harry/Hermione fan in HP, but I already have people on my friendslist that are, so no worries.

4. What got you interested in Smallville? My dad, actually. He watched it all the time and sometimes we'd have it on during dinner. Every night, if it came on when he was in his room, I'd come in just to hear the theme song b/c I loved it. After enough of seeing random clips, I decided to watch, and fell in love. I was into SV for a while last year, but real life got in the way... I resurrected my love for the show last month and now I'm in love with all things fandom.

5. What are your favorite SV episodes? Pilot, Heat, Shattered, Memoria, Onyx

6. What SV fanfic do you reread most often? I don't read a lot more than once, but then again I've only been active for a few weeks. Omiai (http://smallville.slashdom.com/archive/37/omiai.html) is one of my very favorites to date. Along with The Wasteland (http://seperis.illuminatedtext.com/smallville/thewasteland.html).

7. Random facts (favorite food, color you wouldn't be caught dead wearing, pets' names, number of pairs of shoes you own, where you would live if you were a billionaire, etc.): I'm very low-maintenance for an 18-year-old girl. I wear t-shirts with giant S's on them as often as I can with jeans. I sleep like a rock, usually staying up til 6 AM and sleeping 'til 2. At least, you know, in the summer. I love purple and plaid just because of Smallville, and (obviously) fandom has way too much sway on my life. I love love LOVE to laugh and make others laugh. Also, I'm looking for more SV people on my flist so friend away!! :D

I get kinda intimidated too, like I'm not well up enough on all the facts.
Love ancieny history and classical literature (esp greek, esp the Orsetia) and I love the fact that SV tries to assimilate that kind of thing into it's world (even tho it is kinda Alexander heavy, one of the writers clearly wrote a dissertation on the dude)

I absolutely agree about the un-betaed fic. Minor mistakes are okay, but when they start disrupting the flow of the story, it gets frustrating.

And glad to hear that I'm not the only one addicted to bottled water. My car and my room are full of half empty bottles.
