No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

I was so close to calling my son Alexander. Because then I could have Xander *and* Lex, then I decided it would be both wierd and get him bullied. I have made him be BFF's with the kid in his nursery called Clark though, so i'm still calling it a win.

You know just how happy the fact that Vin has a friend called Clark makes me.
Spent the whole bus journey home today trying to persuade a girl I get the bus with most nightd to call her new dog Allie (short for Alexandra, in honor of his Lexiness)

Ha! We get to scar our kids for life with fannish craziness. (Okay, not as scarred as a Xander but still. *g*) Seriously, if my husband had let me, I think I'd named our daughter Leia. Might as well go all the way, eh? *g*

My grandfather was actually called Lex. This is why I felt so dumb that it took me so long to realize Lex's full name was Alexander. Duh. But I have totally gotten over any weirdness I may have felt at the beginning. I mean, I think of my grandfather as my grandfather, and Lex is... OMG LEX!
