Come to the SV social

"I would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party. The party with the...with the pants. The party with pants."
"Brick, are you saying there's a party in your pants and I'm invited?" (Anchorman)

No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

Here's a little mini-questionnaire, almost completely stolen from [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn's glee week social, in case you need a conversation starter, but feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you are interested in answering:

1. Tell us something about yourself:
2. Likes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff):
3. Dislikes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff) :
4. What got you interested in Smallville?
5. What are your favorite SV episodes?
6. What SV fanfic do you reread most often?
7. Random facts (favorite food, color you wouldn't be caught dead wearing, pets' names, number of pairs of shoes you own, where you would live if you were a billionaire, etc.)

Happy delurking day! Come join the party!

My taste in books seems to change all the time, but right now I've been reading a lot of chick-lit, canadian lit and comedy. Christopher Moore, Nick Hornby, Sophie Kinsella, Billie Letts, Alice Munroe, Annie Proulx, Emily Griffen, Timothy Findley, Gemma Townley and Jennifer Weiner seem to be taking over my bookshelf lately. I like the old classics too; Jane Eyre, Dracula, Frankenstein. And I've got a soft spot for anything by Nicholas Sparks and all of Anne Rice's vampire chronicles.

As for movies, I'll watch just about anything. I loved Amelie, Empire Records, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and LoTR's as well! Never seen Grosse Pointe Blank all the way through though. I have way to many favourites to list, but like I said I will watch most anything. In my DVD player right now is Pushing Tin, Spiderman 2, Rent, A Lot Like Love and Mallrats. From one end of the spectrum to the other. :D

And there must be anal, because if not, is not real porn

I feel quite strongly about that. Porn is incomplete without anal. *bonds with you*

I'm a Dunhill smoker personally. They're the only cigarettes I like although I'll smoke anything if I have to.

I love random acts of kindness and smiling at strangers, as it seems that too many people are walking around with sticks up their bums.

Oh! Me too! We must stick together and keep smiling to make people wonder what the hell is so funny, hee!

That's the thing with MR: everything about him is hypnotic and extremely sexual. He could read the damn phone book to me and I'd be panting and all over him.

My thing with the primary colors started with the red tops and sweaters and jeans. Then I got a blue sweater and the next thing I know is that I looked like a BDA.

Good to meet you too!!

I love more than anything reading it aloud when i see it on menus or wine bottles.

I studied italian for a couple of years and I love reading it aloud whenever I find something written in that, too :D

Nice to meet you too :)

He's just got everything, brains, smarts, sensitivity and enough testosterone to not be afraid to show it and oh, my, just look at him :)

I almost shouted at the screen at the end of the finale, Noooooooooooo!

*chews nails until season 2*

I try. Maybe if I had showered instead of turning the computer on, my hair would be shiny. I'll do that to please you.

Kisses!

I really appreciate you took the time to respond today. I fear I am late for the party again, but it was a nice thrill to see 2 responses to my post this morning.

My dog is so loyal and protective of his family. He truly loves 'his people' very much. However, any newcomers walking by us or visiting our house have to earn his respect. He is not quite open minded to children either (except mine, of course). We still love him a great deal, however.

Regarding LJ, I feel like an outsider looking in most of the time. My circumstances won't allow me to be more than a casual participator over here and because of that, I never quite feel settled in. But that doesn't take from the enjoyment I have reading everyone's posts, stories, metas, and looking at the wonderful manips.

Thank you again for taking the time to respond.
