Heroes finale

I didn't want to spoil people with my mood, but I'm still crying. Oh, Nathan! I always knew you were a hero at heart, but did you have to go and prove it? *Sobs*

Analysis will have to follow when I'm a little less overcome. That was a brilliant episode, though--a total rollercoaster ride, and completely satisfying, except how they went and killed off Nathan. (And I can acknowledge that it was a good end to his character arc, I'm just really sad that he's dead.)

I just finished it and I AM HAVING A HEART ATTACK.

THEY SAID THEY LOVED EACH OTHER.

AND THEN HE DIED.

*WEEPS*

He can't really be dead can he?!!

*WEEPS SOME MORE*

*Hugs you*

Many people are saying in their reviews that death offscreen in the comics means the person isn't really dead, but I don't really see how Nathan could have survived. Peter, sure--Claire survived and he has her power--but I just can't picture Nathan living through that.

*Weeps some more*

Oh yeah, people never stay dead in comics so there's some hope there but Heroes is all about being more realistic or whatever and no capes blah blah and OHHHHHHH NATHAN WHY?!

It turns out I'm way more affected by this show than I thought I was.

*CLINGS TO YOU AND WAILS*

As a happy thought - how AWESOME were Hiro and Ando?!! 'You look badass' Eeeeeeee ♥ ♥

Hiro and Ando were completely made of win. Actually, *everybody* was made of win in this episode--I'm almost calm enough now to write a more coherent episode response, so I think I may do that.

*nod* I've been thinking "Oh, Nathan!" a lot in the past several hours.

Oh, Nathan! *Sniffs*

Oh, it was totally teh awesome ... but is it possible that once in the air that Peter and Nathan seperated? I mean, Peter can fly on his own ...

Either way ... totally awesome ... and the end with Hiro??? *speechless*

Yeah, book 2 looks like it will be a lot of fun.

And I guess there's still a possibility that Nathan isn't dead, so I'll hold onto hope until we know for sure.

I'm more angry than sad that he's dead. But I offer (belated) hugs. *hugs*

Well, I can understand if you're angry because it was a predictable end (or because he was the only character you liked); I think this ending was predicted as far back as [livejournal.com profile] yahtzee63's yuletide story, if I remember correctly. I guess I just didn't think they were going to actually go there until they did, especially when so many of the other characters with big bullseyes on them survived.

Yup, I'm angry on both counts--Nathan was my favourite character from the very beginning. Mr Bennett grew on me a lot and he's probably the only thing that would keep me watching the show now. Peter only really shines around Nathan in my eyes, so without Nathan the spark goes out of the show for me. And yeah, I found it predictable.
