No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

1) Okay here goes nothing. I'm active in the BtVS/AtS fandom but have lurked in the SV fandom since season 1. Mostly because all my F-list was made up of people in the Jossverse.
I finally delurked when it was announced that JM was appearing on SV, and only then because others on my flist began to raise their hands and announce they'd been lurking too :)
Other than recently dipping my big toe in the SV pool I have mainly watched the fandom form afar while inhaling every single episode of the show.
2) I pretty much watch SV from the same perspective as BtVS/AtS, and rarely take notice of ship preference, I can see merit in almost all canon pairings and have had my own moments of awwwww but when it comes down to it nothing hits my spot more than Clark/Lex. I have no words to describe my opinion of Lex, well none that I can spell anyway, mostly it's guh! gah! and a whole lot of drool.
And I have a huge soft spot for Clark, like HUGE!
And Lionel OMFg!
3) Never much liked Jonathan, Pete, Whitney etc and I have to admit there are times I've wanted to slap both Lana and Chloe, although I have warmed a little to Chloe over season five.
4) When Smallville first aired in the UK I had no intention of watching it, I was a big Superman fan as a kid and didn't want anything to spoil my memories of the experience. Then I visited a fandom friend halfway through season 1, she forced me to watch a couple of episodes, I saw the dynamics between Lex and Clark, Clark's smile, Lex's... Lexness, and as soon as I arrived home I made up for lost time :)
5) Too many to mention :/
6) I inhale Clex fanfic on a regular basis, and have recently, since coming out of the closet, began to write Clark/Lex fiction.
7) Favourite food, I'm a veggie, pasta, rice etc and red peppers. OMg RED PEPPERS. Also Jelly beans, lots of jelly beans (I buy in bulk)
I wouldn't be caught dead in pink. In fact if I'm dead and they put me in pink I will haunt whoever for the rest of their days.
I have two dogs, a psychotic collie named Bailey, a Japanese Akita names Keisha (my baby) and a Birman cat named Tia.
I don't own many pairs of shoes, but New Rock boots, they should offer me shares in the company :)
If I was a billionaire I'd build my own fortress and decorate it with Clex fanfic :)

I. Yes. I go on about that as well. I love talking about Lexness and Lexian things and just using his name as an adjective because he is so superlative.

People ask me why I love Lex so much and I always struggle to describe what it is about him, words seem so inadequate. He's just Lex :)

Heh. That could be me talking! ;) I'm a secret Pete-hater. I hate both the actor and what the writers did to his character (ie completely fail to deliver on him). It's really good he's not on the show anymore, because now I seem like this really easy-going person who likes ALL the characters! Ha!

Yes, no more rants about Jonathan... I've had many! All his heavy-handed paternalism ... literally (I started to get a shudder every time he would put his hand on Clark's shoulder!).

I also love red peppers. The big advantage of moving to California, for me, was that red peppers are amazingly cheap here.

It's good to be in SVland, it really is, after so many years in the Jossverse it's wonderful to finally let my SVflag fly, and I've met some really nice people on LJ already :)
