Come to the SV social

"I would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party. The party with the...with the pants. The party with pants."
"Brick, are you saying there's a party in your pants and I'm invited?" (Anchorman)

No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

Here's a little mini-questionnaire, almost completely stolen from [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn's glee week social, in case you need a conversation starter, but feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you are interested in answering:

1. Tell us something about yourself:
2. Likes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff):
3. Dislikes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff) :
4. What got you interested in Smallville?
5. What are your favorite SV episodes?
6. What SV fanfic do you reread most often?
7. Random facts (favorite food, color you wouldn't be caught dead wearing, pets' names, number of pairs of shoes you own, where you would live if you were a billionaire, etc.)

Happy delurking day! Come join the party!

I hope I'm not too late...

1. Tell us something about yourself: I'm 27, and editor yet strangely when it comes to my fic, I stink at editing my work. Go figure! Also, I've bought the first season of Macgyver and am scanning ebay for more. And yes, he looks good. He hasn't hit the mullet age yet (g)

2. Likes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff): Clex, Chlark and Chlex (but you knew that). Also Jack/Daniel; Ennis/Jack; Duncan/Methos; Logan/Scott. Supernatural has sucked me in completely and trying to catch up with the eps since the finale has made me grateful for reruns!! Whheee, Wincest! Also, Papa Winchester is yum too!

3. Dislikes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff): Blahna - with anyone whatsoever. Other than that, I'm good (G)

4. What got you interested in Smallville? I love Superman, I've loved Superman since the first movie with Christopher Reeve and when I heard about the show, it made me go *squee* and then later I went *bugger*.

5. What are your favorite SV episodes? Vessel, and any that hinted at Clex. What can I say, it's the CLEX!!

6. What SV fanfic do you reread most often? Actually, I haven't read any in a long while. The last one I reread was Photographic evidence by Soraya.

7. Random facts (favorite food, color you wouldn't be caught dead wearing, pets' names, number of pairs of shoes you own, where you would live if you were a billionaire, etc.) Food - my mum's roast lamb. I miss that soo much. Paris has always been a favorite city of mine, so an apartment near Notre Dame would be perfect with my billions! The cathedral has always been my most fave spot in the city. I give up with Lost after last night's finale. Someone tell me when it's over and Jack and Sawyer shag (G) Also - I hate shoe shopping (G)

Waves hello.

It's interesting, isn't it, how much harder it is to edit your own work than other people's work?

[identity profile] l-vera01.livejournal.com 2006-05-26 02:04 am (UTC)(link)
Heyyy!!!! It emabarasses the hell out of me actually, but my brain seizes when I make any attempt to check my work! I just can't see anything anymore! sheesh!

*waves* I haven't replied to your email during my catch-up-on-work frenzy, which is (thankfully) now over. So send away! I should have at least *some* time to myself this weekend! *g*

And random fact--I once heard Gregorian chants sung in Notre Dame on a chilly January night and it was one of the most magical things ever. The ecstatic joy on the faces of the singers was particularly special--the accoustics there are incredible.

Oh God. Kill me now...that is *so* NOT what I meant when I posted that! I totally expected you to be catching up with stuff and since I'm on the last bit of the last chapter of Destiny's journey, I was going to finish it this weekend and then check back with you to see how things were!! I'll email about that later!

I adore the Gregorian chants. *sigh* I need a holiday, preferably in the direction that sends me back to paris in summer! The accoustics were just beautiful in there. That and the cathedral in Rome where I heard a choir practising *rolls eyes* Of course, I can't remember the name ...

I'll email about that later!
Kk! It's all good! :) Do not fret.

On my recent travels, I went to Cambridge and heard Evensong sung in Trinity College Chapel. It was pretty magic, but nowhere near the Notre Dame experience. Such things are good for the soul, even in a purely non-religious way!

Oh, Macgyver is the show I watch with my dad!!! We both totally love it!

The theme song still gets to me every time! I love it!

It's *always*about the Clex! When is it ever not?
