Come to the SV social

"I would like to extend to you an invitation to the pants party. The party with the...with the pants. The party with pants."
"Brick, are you saying there's a party in your pants and I'm invited?" (Anchorman)

No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

Here's a little mini-questionnaire, almost completely stolen from [livejournal.com profile] svmadelyn's glee week social, in case you need a conversation starter, but feel free to answer as many or as few questions as you are interested in answering:

1. Tell us something about yourself:
2. Likes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff):
3. Dislikes (characters, ships, genres, TV shows, actors, real life stuff) :
4. What got you interested in Smallville?
5. What are your favorite SV episodes?
6. What SV fanfic do you reread most often?
7. Random facts (favorite food, color you wouldn't be caught dead wearing, pets' names, number of pairs of shoes you own, where you would live if you were a billionaire, etc.)

Happy delurking day! Come join the party!

Yay! Pretty much all shades of yellow make me look as if I'm jaundiced if I try to wear them. It's not a pretty sight! *g* Though since I dyed my hair red I find I can now wear colours I never could as a brunette, but yellow still isn't one of them.

Yellow is pretty much *noones* colour, except possibly mine... I have this strange ability to wear really bright colours, so egg yolk yellow is fine on me. I think it's because I have the blandest looks ever--pale skin, mousy hair, greyish green eyes... so if I wear muted colours, I look ick, but if I go bright, everyone is distracted by the bright!shiny!pretty! ;) Well, that's one theory... Possibly I just inflict my terrible taste on all my friends callously...

Oddly, I've noticed that yellow seems to be an 'in' colour this summer in the UK. I've seen more yellow clothes on sale in M&S than I'm used to seeing. Clearly there is a yellow conspiracy!

I actually have slightly yellowish skin tones (I believe the rather pejorative term is sallow) so any colour with a yellowy tinge to it accentuates that and just makes me look downright ill. Though I have no problem with bright reds or peachy colours. We shall distract with the shiny, bright stuff together!! :-)

We shall! (and I'll hold out hope of the yellow coming out here next season)
