No, actually the party is in the comments of this entry! Come and join the fun and meet new people in SV fandom. I would especially like to encourage you quiet folks lurking in the back--even those of you without livejournals of your own--to drop by and introduce yourselves. We're all a pretty friendly bunch here, and we like to make new friends. Fandom is more fun when you get involved and meet people, so why don't you stop by and say hi?

I'm out as a slasher. I tell everyone straight away that I write gay porn. I give them my lj address. I tell them to read my stories. Guys, girls, whoever. The only people who don't know are the people I work with and my family (for obvious reasons). I might tell my mum later on this year when she comes over to visit me, but never my father. He really doesn't need to know what a filthy mind his daughter has.

LOL Well, I don't usually tell people to read my stories... but I do give out my website address whenever I'm asked. ^_^ I just make sure they know exactly what they're getting themselves into first. ^_~

The only people who don't know are the people I work with and my family...

Yeah, this was what I meant. I'm the only slasher I think I know (I could be wrong) who is completely out. As in, I talk about my slash writings at work--my co-workers are on the receiving end of my squees when I finish a story or get a really good feedback. I have a CLexy story cover up on my work's computer desktop. My mum frequents my website. I dedicated a fic to her, she read it and cried with happiness. I chat with my family on MSN using racy CLex icons and backgrounds. In addition to, you know, being open with all the new people I meet.

I hope you tell your mum! And I hope she's super-supportive. ^_^ Never know! She might be like mine and 'get into the slash.' hehe
